NavAtHome is a companion mobile app for students of the online yachting courses offered by NavAtHome Australia. It is meant to be a handy tool, complementing the course material, that students can use when they are away from the computer and while they are sailing.

The app has been split into three main sections; Home, Tools and Learn. The home page is a handy reference for tide and weather conditions. The tools section has a set of tools that students can use while they are sailing and the learn section contains learning modules designed to work like flash cards that the students can use to brush up on their course material.

We designed a flash card based interface that students can use to practice the course material when they’re away from the PC. This also supports rich media and the course modules can integrate images, sounds, animations and videos as part of the learning content.
